Den sproglig 1.a og den internationale 1.i. holdt fælles blokdag 25.3. 2004. Nedenfor er der billeder fra dagen og de involverede lærere beretter -in English
Thursday, March 25 2004 1. a and 1. i got together for the day in order to dramatize their own scripts of a fairy tale or a mystery story, or to create an outline of a utopian society.
Since their English teacher seemed to be the only thing the 49 students from the two classes had in common at the beginning of the day, the first hour was spent breaking the ice and getting warmed up for the drama exercises to follow. But as the saying goes: Don’t judge a book by its cover – it quickly turned out that these students were able share ideas and find inspiration working together. The students were divided into seven groups comprising students from both classes and worked independently with their presentations or power point slide shows until noon. In the presentations following lunch, we witnessed an enormous amount of creativity and ingenuity – and a very distinct sense of humour that seemed to cross all boundaries between the IB and the Danish upper secondary school systems!
As the instructions actually did say to have fun, we conclude that all requirements were met…!
